Meet the Founder
I'm Yuan Zhang, the passionate mind behind IXDAO or 九纛, the brand is inspired by a set of nine ceremonial banners used in ancient chinese military and imperial traditions. They symbolized high rank, authority, and ceremonial presitge, mirroing my appreciation for Genghis Khan's culture and Mongolia's rich heritage.​ My passion extends to collecting various swords, blades, and knives, each with its own unique story of craftsmanship and historical significance — qualities we emulate in every IXDAO timepiece. ​When I'm not immersed in designing watches, I enjoy the thrill of collecting and riding racehorses. Among my collection is a cherished retired champion, Feline Like Flyin', from the Melbourne Cup in Australia. The family is my anchor, and I cherish every moment spent with my two young kids. They inspire me to pursue excellence in every watch we create. ​Thank you for embarking on this journey with me. I hope our watches become a trusted companion on your adventures.

Sam Zhang

With over 20 years of experience in the watch industry spanning Shenzhen and Dongguan, Sam Zhang brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Chief Operating Officer at IXDAO. Outside of his professional endeavors, Sam enjoys exploring different varieties of rice wine and indulging in a good book.

Yong Wang

As the Chief Marketing Officer at IXDAO, Yong Wang leverages his extensive experience in managing supplier relationships across Guangdong. His deep understanding of the market dynamics and strategic approach has significantly contributed to the company's growth. In his free time, Yong enjoys staying active by hitting the gym and going for runs.

Feng Yuan

Feng Yuan serves as the senior watchmaker and technician at IXDAO, where he is responsible for inspecting all watch movements and overseeing quality control, among other duties. His meticulous attention to detail ensures the highest standards of craftsmanship. In his spare time, Feng enjoys playing basketball.
